People are becoming more aware of and concerned about their impact on the environment. Some people choose to have eco funerals, as they care about their environmental impact in life, and want to do the same after their death.

A natural burial returns a body to the earth in as natural a way as possible. This generally takes place in green spaces, such as wildflower meadows, protected woodland and parkland, which can be more pleasant locations to commemorate a loved one.

Below are two local natural/green burial grounds.

Temple Fields Natural Burial Ground, Solihull

Temple Fields Cemetery is situated in Temple Balsall, Solihull. Set in the Warwickshire countryside that is surrounded by a nature reserve and untouched landscape, the area is renowned for its beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife and nature-protecting ethos.

Westall Park Woodland Burial, Redditch, Worcestershire

Located midway between Worcester and Stratford-Upon-Avon, Westall Park is set on a stunning hillside with far reaching views over the Worcestershire countryside, stretching as far as the Brecon Beacons

Loved ones can have a service elsewhere and then the Funeral Directors will take your loved one to the burial site.

As a celebrant I am able to conduct the service and the committal and as with all the other services, will work with the family to make this as special as possible.
