Love and Light Celebrant

If you or a loved one is terminally ill and have been given the news that we all dread, a party might seem like the last thing on your mind. However, saying goodbye to family and friends is an important part of coming to terms with what is happening. This celebration is often referred to as a ‘living wake’.
As a celebrant I can help with this living wake, giving a living eulogy, giving a chance for the person who is ill to tell stories they might not be strong enough to tell you themselves, and a chance for family and friends to be able to tell them how much they are loved, share the fun times you have all shared.
It can help with the grieving process, giving family and friends to say to their loved one what they want to impart before their love one passes.
Hospices will usually accommodate a living wake or it can be held at home or in some other suitable place, even a hospital if they have a private room.
